Colourpop Haul

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

Hey! Hope you’re all well. In this post I wanted to share with you all my recent Colourpop purchases! This is my second time buying from Colourpop and I absolutely LOVE them. The quality of the makeup is incredible and everything is at such an inexpensive price.

I’ll start with the eyeshadows

(right: KathleenLights / Left: Weenie)

Both of these shades are part of collaborations with YouTuber, Kathleen Lights. As you guys know I love her and am always supporting the makeup products she creates with brands! I went with neutral shades, of course. KathleenLights is a beautiful gold and Weenie is a perfect rose gold color. (One eyeshadow is $5)

The quality of these shadows blew me away! Just from the swatches alone I was in awe. They are extremely pigmented and so soft. I instantly fell in love. Cannot wait to create looks with these two!

Onto the lips!

Foxy Mini Kit ($20 // Full sized Ultra Matte Lips are $6 each)

Swatches:

Top to bottom:

Contempo / Lumière / Beeper / Clueless / Tulle / More Better / Creeper

I am so happy with each and every one of these colors! They’re all absolutely gorgeous and I am so excited to wear these all year round!

That wraps up everything! Do you have any Colourpop products? I know I will definitely be purchasing more in the future.

Have a great week!

Thanks for reading. Big love,

P.S … its been a while since Ive done a Music Monday- so just for the fun of it, check out the song “Same Old, Same Old” by The Civil Wars. I’ve been listening to it non-stop lately. Such a beautiful song!

Face of the Day: Thanksgiving

Hi! So, let’s just start this by saying I suck. I’m so sorry I haven’t been posting very often. I feel like I’ve become a bit of a broken record but life happens. So again, I’m truly sorry. But alas, I am back with a “fotd”. Its been a while since I posted one of these! They’re my favorite. Let’s get into it!

I haven’t been wearing much makeup lately so for Thanksgiving I wanted to go all out. (and by “all out” I mean my usual neutrals). I actually really loved how this look turned out!

On my lips I have the Maybelline creamy matte lipstick in “Touch of Spice” which I mentioned in my last Target haul.

Hope you enjoyed this look (: As its Thanksgiving, just wanted to say a big thanks to anyone who takes the time to read my posts. Thank you for sticking around and being patient. I hope you’ve had an amazing holiday!

Vincent Longo Trio Eyeshadow

Hey,hey! I got a few comments on my last post about the Vincent Longo Original Trio Eyeshadow from this month’s Boxycharm. Apparently, not everyone got the shadows in their box and the sweet Everythingandnothin requested I do a review! So let’s get started!

vincent longo

I created a look to show you what the shadows actually look like on- but just to put it out there, I personally wouldn’t use this particular color combination (haha). So I didn’t get fancy or anything.

On to the review. Okay, so overall I’m not too impressed with the shadows. The colors on their own are beautiful, however I found they weren’t very pigmented. (Mind you I did add a filter/edit the photos (not the swatches, though) because girl I am not that confident to go completely unedited haha). I had to really pack on some layers and even wet the shadows to achieve some intensity. I probably won’t be using these shadows too often, unfortunately. Like I said, the colors are beautiful, and they aren’t completely unusable but for sure are not worth their retail price of $30.00.

I hope you found this somewhat helpful! I sort of stink at explaining/reviewing products, haha- but you ask and I shall deliver! Have an awesome weekend!

Hey guys! I’m so excited to share this month’s Boxycharm with you all! I finally decided to sign up, and so far I am loving it.

I’m sure you all have heard of Boxycharm, but if you don’t know it is a subscription service that mails you beauty products every month. You pay $21 a month for 4-5 (mostly) full sized products that retail all together for $100+! If you’re interested, I’ll provide a link to their website here.

This month’s theme is “Faces of the Moon”.Let’s get started!

First is the Palmetto Derma Rejuvenating Antioxidant Mask. I used this once so far and I am really liking it. It feels so refreshing… and it retails for $64 DOLLARS! That’s already more than double the price of the box in just the first product alone! Crazy!

I was super excited about this gorgeous gray Cult Cosmetics Nail polish ($12). I haven’t tried it out yet, but its a perfect for this time of year.

Next is the Bellapierre Cheek and Lip Stain ($19.99). As I’ve mentioned before I’m not really a fan of lip stains and I’m not too big on blush either, but that’s what I like about these subscription services! Its a fun way to try new products I wouldn’t normally.

Also in this month’s box is the Vincent Longo Original Trio Eyeshadow ($30.00). You guys know I usually stick to my neutral shadows, so I was pretty excited to see some gorgeous colors to play around with.

And lastly, the Lord & Berry Line/Shade Eyeliner ($18). I have been obsessed with this eyeliner! Its so creamy and really intensifies my eyes.

That’s everything! All five products this month are full size and total to $143.99!! Isn’t that insane?! Let me know if you would be interested in these unboxing posts every month! Also, let me know if you have any questions about the products or Boxycharm in general. Are you signed up too?

Hope you enjoyed this post! Have an awesome week!

Face of the Day: Smokey & Dark

Hey! I’m super excited about this “fotd” because it was really fun for me to create! I felt being a little extra glam today. Of course, for the eyes I stuck to my neutral shades- but with just a tad more drama with a dark smokey eye.

I’m actually not going anywhere today (haha)- I just felt like going all out with my makeup for you guys. I can’t be the only one who just does their makeup for blogging and then walks around the house with a full face on … right?!

Here’s a peek at most of the products I used.

Hope you enjoyed this look!
